Patch your copy of the game

Upload the game engine from your SWOS folder — SWSENGPP.EXE for SWOS 2016/17 and 2024/25, SWS.EXE for SWOS 95/96 European Championship Edition — tick the patches you want and download the patched file to put in its place. Only the patches travel — the game itself is never shared. Every patch checks the exact bytes it replaces, so a game that has been changed some other way is refused rather than broken, and any patch can be taken out again the same way. Keep a copy of your original file.

More European places for one league
The league you choose gets far more European places: its champion always plays in the Champions League, its cup winner always in the Cup Winners' Cup, and it gets three UEFA Cup places when you manage there - about two a season when you manage elsewhere. The places come from the countries that have the most. The first season is drawn from fixed line-ups inside the game, so the league's strongest clubs are put into those as well.

One extra feature (the engine has room for one)
Two additions to choose between. Both put new code into the game, and this engine has room for one of them - the 95/96 edition has room for both, and offers them separately.

Unlimited career length
Careers no longer end after 20 seasons. When a career passes season 20 the oldest season drops out of the management record, the rest move up and you carry on in the last slot - the year keeps counting as normal.
No chairman transfer limit
The chairman's signing allowance is rebuilt each season (and on a new job) from a far larger budget, so he never stops you buying. Takes effect from the next season or job change.
