Player: Patrick McNair

Summary: I could not find reliable records of a Northern Irish footballer named Patrick McNair who played for Sunderland in major historical databases, club records, or commonly used football reference sites. It is possible the name is recorded differently (alternate spelling, middle name, initials), the player was active at a non-first-team level (reserves, youth, trialist), or played in a different era with limited documentation.

• Suggested next steps:
  • Check alternate name spellings or variations (e.g., Pat McNair, Paddy McNair). Note: "Paddy McNair" is a well-known Northern Irish player but he played for Manchester United and Sunderland's opponent clubs, not primarily for Sunderland.
  • Provide approximate years or era when he played, which can help narrow searches (e.g., 1950s, 1990s, 2010s).
  • Indicate whether he was a youth, reserve, trialist, or first-team player, or if you have any other details (position, birth year, clubs before/after Sunderland).

If you want, I can: perform a focused search for variant names, check Sunderland squad lists by season, or look into Northern Irish players with similar names and supply any matching profiles found.
