Overview
The HOLLAND national soccer team (officially the Netherlands national football team) is one of Europe’s most storied and influential sides. Established in the early 20th century and governed by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB), the team is known for technical, attacking football, tactical innovation (notably “Total Football”), and producing world-class players and coaches. The Netherlands’ traditional colors are orange (home), reflecting the Dutch royal House of Orange, with away kits typically white or blue.

Style and influence
The Netherlands is widely associated with progressive, possession-based, attacking football emphasizing technical skill, intelligent pressing and positional interchange. Dutch coaching, youth development (notably Ajax’s academy model), and football philosophy (Total Football, emphasis on tactical education) have had a profound influence on clubs and national teams worldwide.
Legacy
Although the Netherlands has fewer major tournament trophies than some footballing powers, their footballing identity, tactical innovations, and production of transcendent players and coaches make them one of the most influential nations in the history of the sport. Their orange shirt remains a global symbol of attractive, inventive football and a proud national tradition.
