Club: Club Nacional de Football (commonly "Nacional")

Country: Uruguay

Season / Timeframe: Around the 2016/17 season

• Head coach: Martín Lasarte — Lasarte, a Uruguayan manager, was appointed Nacional head coach in December 2015 and led the team through the 2016 and 2017 campaigns. His tenure included domestic league competition and continental fixtures.
• Home stadium: Estadio Gran Parque Central (primary); Nacional also plays high-profile matches at Estadio Centenario.
• Competitions (around 2016/17):
  • Uruguayan Primera División (Apertura/Clausura format; Nacional competed for the domestic title)
  • Copa Libertadores (continental competition — participation depended on qualification from the preceding season)
  • Domestic cups and supercopa-style fixtures as applicable
• Notable players (squad members around 2016–2017):
  • Sebastián Fernández (forward)
  • Sergio Rochet (goalkeeper) — became an important presence in goal
  • Emiliano Albín / Álvaro González / Mathías Corujo (defensive options and fullbacks present in those years)
  • Brian Ocampo and Gonzalo Bergessio had involvement across similar periods (note: Bergessio returned at later points; exact roster varied by month)

Squad lists changed between Apertura/Clausura windows and due to transfers; for an exact roster on a specific date, a match sheet or club archive should be consulted.

• Style & achievements under Lasarte:
  • Lasarte is known for pragmatic, organized teams emphasizing defensive solidity and quick transitions.
  • During his time at Nacional (2015–2017), the club competed strongly in the domestic league and aimed for continental progress; precise titles and standings depend on the specific 2016 or 2017 tournament phase.

Notes: If you need precise details — such as the exact 2016/17 squad list, league position by tournament (Apertura/Clausura/annual table), match results, or Copa Libertadores fixtures and results — I can provide those specifics for a chosen competition or date range.
